Casey Møøn Reveals Sleek New Single “glass”

Boasting a strong voice with an ear for pop melody, Casey Møøn is a genre-defying multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and half of the production duo Zookids. Having handled production for Young Thug, Gunna, and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, written for independent artists in the indie-pop world, and played in a slew of rock bands over the years, his style has absorbed an eclectic array of influences.

Casey is in the process of unveiling his trilogy of EPs: fountains, mirrors and ashes. Each project varies in genre and draws thematic influence from a different film or TV series. Listened to sequentially, the collection is about growing up, love and loss.

“glass” is the first single from mirrors. It’s about the masks we put on, the skin we slip into, when we go out for the night. The lyrics were inspired by Twin Peaks.

mirrors harkens back to the ‘80s with bright synths and heavily chorused guitar, big dramatic chord progressions and drum sounds to evoke a sense of grandeur and adventure. fountainsfeels like you’re going somewhere exciting whereas “mirrors” feels like you have arrived.
