Following his party-anthem country song of the summer, “Bad Choices,” Niagara Falls-based singer-songwriter Ryan Langdon is offering up a new single which exists on the opposite side of the emotional spectrum.
“Always Leaving,” co-written with Jim Witter and notable Nashvillean Eric Arjes (Eli Young Band, Eric Church), who also produced the track, finds Langdon digging deep as both a vocalist and songwriter.
Plaintive guitars, understated percussion, and Langdon’s emotive baritone create an atmosphere that allows the song’s lyrics to pierce through: “‘Cause you left the pieces, but did you mean to leave me broken on the floor?”
Ryan explains that the song idea and title are ones that he has had for a long time. “It is about being with somebody in a relationship and always sensing that person wasn’t 100% invested in it. I’ve had my share of those relationships!”
